By no means do we claim to be experts, but hopefully from our first two apps (They’re Beautiful! and Invitastic) as well as our blog you can tell that we definitely have opinions on how to create a web experience. I get to share our philosophy tonight at the Seattle Tech Startups regular meetup.

My talk is titled: Next Generation Consumer Software. Here at Jackson Fish we feel that our industry is in the early stages of an evolution in what it means to make high quality consumer software/web experiences. We’re certainly not alone in that. This presentation gets into the details of what we think it means to deliver these types of experiences.

    Your talk tonight was dynamite.

    One of the best ideas I took away from the presentation was how design is the key differentiator in the market for mature products. The software industry is certainly hitting the stage where good design makes all the difference.

    I enjoyed hearing your presentation last night at the library – great work! Sounds like you guys have some pretty amazing projects up and running, and we can expect many more great things in the future. I grinned at your mention of the mobile tech workforce – if you guys are ever feeling mobile and want a little vacation, come on over and hang out with us at Office Nomads – we’d love to have you guys around.
